John is the Chief Investment Officer for Resolution Life Australasia. In his role, John is accountable for the overall investment strategy and management of RLA’s (~A$30bn) investment portfolios, optimising returns in line with risk appetite, liability profile and capital requirements.

John has over 25 years’ experience in financial services both overseas and in Australia.  Most recently, John held the Chief Investment Officer role at Avant Mutual Group.

Prior to that, John spent more than 12 years working for ING Investment Management and later ANZ Wealth managing diversified portfolios across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

John also spent time at Bank of Ireland Asset Management in Dublin as a portfolio manager.  John holds a Masters of Applied Finance degree from Macquarie University, Sydney, a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Finance from University College Cork (Ireland) and is a fully qualified ACMA accountant.
